The Masters
One of my favorite things about April is The Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta, GA. As a significantly handicapped golfer myself, I love the fanfare of this event. There's just something gentile and southern about the charm of Augusta National with the bermuda the greenest shade of grass green imaginable and the large azaleas in perfect bloom on the course.
Today's little crafty gem is the perfect treat for the golfer in your life. These adorable cupcakes are so simple to make and just required a bit of creativity to come up with. To make the golf ball, use white melting chocolate and a chocolate mold. The molds are readily available at craft stores and they make sports / ball chocolate molds that make this a sinch. Simply melt the chocolate and pour into the mold, following the directions with the mold of course. Once hardened, you simply pop out your cute finished product.
The oh so cute green grass on this cupcake is compliments of Wilton's icing tip #233. Practice a few attempts before attacking your first cupcake, getting your grass the perfect height is more of an art than a science.
Voila! In a few quick minutes, the perfect cupcake to go with your Arnold Palmer and pimento cheese sandwich for viewing The Masters!
Enjoy!
